Do ko\u0144ca 2009 zosta\u0142 wy\u0142oniony wykonawca prac budowlanych.<\/p>\n<p>Prace budowlane rozpocz\u0119\u0142y si\u0119 w kwietniu 2010. Modernizacja dworca by\u0142a wsp\u00f3\u0142finansowana ze \u015brodk\u00f3w UE (Program Operacyjny Infrastruktura i \u015arodowisko). Bud\u017cet projektu wynosi\u0142 162,3 mln z\u0142 (netto), w tym \u015brodki UE to 113,63 mln z\u0142<\/p>\n<p>Od strony ulicy Suchej, powsta\u0142 pawilon po\u0142udniowy, czyli tzw. dworzec nocny. Na jego dachu zamontowano kolektory s\u0142oneczne, kt\u00f3re s\u0142u\u017c\u0105 do ogrzewania wody w budynku. Ca\u0142y budynek ma trzy kondygnacje. Zadaszenie hal peronowych otrzyma\u0142o nowe poszycie wykonane z drewna, blachy i szk\u0142a samoczyszcz\u0105cego. Dobudowano tak\u017ce kolejny peron \u2013 sz\u00f3sty, kt\u00f3ry obs\u0142uguje kolej aglomeracyjn\u0105, wej\u015bcie i wyj\u015bcie z niego b\u0119dzie tylko od strony po\u0142udniowej, na ul.
